WHO ARE THE LIONS?
Lions are ordinary people within their local community
who willingly volunteer some of their time to humanitarian causes
in the local and global communities.
To achieve this, they become members of their local Lions Clubs.

Lions are members of THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LIONS CLUBS,
which is usually abbreviated to LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL.
This is a global community service organisation that is dedicated to the idea that the men and women
who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest such organization,
with 1.4 million members serving in 195 countries and areas.
The association is both non-political and non-sectarian

Radcliffe and Whitefield Lions is a small, informal and quite young club. Following the departure of a number of long standing members owing to age and health related issues, there is now only one member (our president) over 50. The rest of us are much, much younger. (Sorry Tony)

We aim to temper raising money to support worthy causes in the Radcliffe and Whitefield areas with having plenty of fun and forming a true bond of trust and friendship between our members.

Among our activities we include an annual easter egg raffle, a christmas hamper raffle and our main event of the year, our Gala Day.

The Gala Day includes a car boot sale, fun for adults and kids and a motorcycle show. radcliffbikeshow.org.uk We are eternally grateful to the Black Knights Motorcycle Club for their hard work in making the bike show possible each year.

If you feel that you can help to make a difference in your local community and would like to have some fun whilst doing it, then give Tony a ring or email us at enquiries@radcliffeandwhitefieldlions.org
